  • Be a U.s. citizen (South Dakota Constitution, Article 7, Section 2)

  • The South Dakota Libertarian Primary is open to voters registered equally Libertarian, Contained or No Party Affiliation.
  • The South Dakota Republican Main is open to just registered Republicans.

In a Chief election, a voter is given only the ballot for the party which the voter is registered in, except for voters registered as an Contained or No Party Affiliation (NPA).
